RESPONSE FROM : LAMBLIONS

“Can't speak on the Mormons, personally their crazy. Monsanto on the other hand... with their forcing of farmers to not replant any seeds they might have harvested the year before because the farmers had originally bought the seed from them? Crazy! Soon they'll be trying to tell every person that plant their own garden using their seeds, the very same things. I'm sorry for all the people that still have natural seeds, and some bee comes by fluffed up with their genetically altered pollen and dust the natural trees, whereas the off shoots have their markers, they might look to cause hell on earth.

The truth about Monsanto is that man have been cultivating the earth to yield the most they could get out of it for eons. Some of mans earlier methods would be considered to some degree, "genetic manipulations", for the bigger fruits, most healthy strains, etc.. Its the sampling of genetic material from outside sources is what has most people upset. Animal and other various, sometimes deadly parts of none related plants, introduced into the food supply, primarily to make them resistant to sicknesses of all sorts, seemingly, does potentially have it draw backs on the human beings body and mind, in my opinion, that is, if everything, effects something.

The fact that Monsanto is dealing with multiplications, and doing what they think is best to bring the yields the world need is commendable, but the "trying and succeeding by means of political manipulation to control food, is totally outside of human decency, ... down right satanic. The world will always need food, they would never go broke, so long as they making and selling food. The excuse of, " not wanting the genetic material to get out and contaminate the natural sources", is mediocre; it's already to late for that in a large quantity of the food supply out there already; so it would seem it's just an excuse for more control.”

RESPONSE FROM : Miguel

Thank you for posting your comment. No offense taken at all for the word crazy, it is but a confirmation that we, the Latter Day Saints as well as those of the primitive church of Jesus Christ, when faithful, were and still are a peculiar people.

My name is Miguel Angel Tinoco and I am an unworthy servant in the hands of Christ who is also a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints.  You have just used a little but powerful enough faith to make the truth spring forth from the earth and also for the heavens to smile at us, yea, both of us. Believe it or not, I will prove that to you with the Holy Scriptures in just a minute. We are just freely making people know of the great health benefits of praying always; of giving thanks and blessing the foods we eat; and also blessing little children and all sorts of sick and afflicted people and telling them where they can get healed when all else fails. Yet know this that not all the so called Mormons are member of the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints and not all LDS are faithful.  It has also been the fame and heritage of our righteous fathers to be called crazy mad ever since the world begun. I am no exception. Here is an example of our PECULIARITY.

For instance, we as individuals and as a collective body have been called crazy for over 180 years for not smoking cigarettes or for not chewing tobacco, for not drinking alcoholic beverages and even coffee among some other unclean and deadly things. This great knowledge was given as a word of wisdom by the power of prophecy and revelation to a righteous man named Joseph Smith Jr. in 1833. Only in this generation or recently people have discovered all the miseries that those substances cause in the human body and in the lives of people. That means that we are about that much time ahead in wisdom from the majority of people that habitually consume those substances. We are not perfect yet, but we do our best to walk the talk.  Here is the law and the testimony:

For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth. Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.

(Old Testament | Deuteronomy 14:2 - 3)

Behold, verily, thus saith the Lord unto you: In consequence of evils and designs which do and will exist in the hearts of conspiring men in the last days, I have warned you, and forewarn you, by giving unto you this word of wisdom by revelation—  That inasmuch as any man drinketh wine or strong drink among you, behold it is not good, neither meet in the sight of your Father, only in assembling yourselves together to offer up your sacraments before him. And, behold, this should be wine, yea, pure wine of the grape of the vine, of your own make. And, again, strong drinks are not for the belly, but for the washing of your bodies. And again, tobacco is not for the body, neither for the belly, and is not good for man, but is an herb for bruises and all sick cattle, to be used with judgment and skill. And again, hot drinks are not for the body or belly. And again, verily I say unto you, all wholesome herbs God hath ordained for the constitution, nature, and use of man— Every herb in the season thereof, and every fruit in the season thereof; all these to be used with prudence and thanksgiving. Yea, flesh also of beasts and of the fowls of the air, I, the Lord, have ordained for the use of man with thanksgiving; nevertheless they are to be used sparingly; And it is pleasing unto me that they should not be used, only in times of winter, or of cold, or famine. All grain is ordained for the use of man and of beasts, to be the staff of life, not only for man but for the beasts of the field, and the fowls of heaven, and all wild animals that run or creep on the earth; And these hath God made for the use of man only in times of famine and excess of hunger. All grain is good for the food of man; as also the fruit of the vine; that which yieldeth fruit, whether in the ground or above the ground— Nevertheless, wheat for man, and corn for the ox, and oats for the horse, and rye for the fowls and for swine, and for all beasts of the field, and barley for all useful animals, and for mild drinks, as also other grain. And all saints who remember to keep and do these sayings, walking in obedience to the commandments, shall receive health in their navel and marrow to their bones; And shall find wisdom and great treasures of knowledge, even hidden treasures; And shall run and not be weary, and shall walk and not faint. And I, the Lord, give unto them a promise, that the destroying angel shall pass by them, as the children of Israel, and not slay them.  Amen.

(Doctrine and Covenants | Section 89:4 - 21)

And it came to pass that Enoch went forth in the land, among the people, standing upon the hills and the high places, and cried with a loud voice, testifying against their works; and all men were offended because of him.

And they came forth to hear him, upon the high places, saying unto the tent–keepers: Tarry ye here and keep the tents, while we go yonder to behold the seer, for he prophesieth, and there is a strange thing in the land; a wild man hath come among us.

And it came to pass when they heard him, no man laid hands on him; for fear came on all them that heard him; for he walked with God. And there came a man unto him, whose name was Mahijah, and said unto him:

Tell us plainly who thou art, and from whence thou comest? And he said unto them: I came out from the land of Cainan, the land of my fathers, a land of righteousness unto this day.  And my father taught me in all the ways of God. And it came to pass, as I journeyed from the land of Cainan, by the sea east, I beheld a vision; and lo, the heavens I saw, and the Lord spake with me, and gave me commandment; wherefore, for this cause, to keep the commandment, I speak forth these words.

(Pearl of Great Price | Moses 6:37 - 42)

As you see, responsible comments as yours deserve responsible answers.  But one thing is to talk and the other is to practice. I pray that we who give or make an effort and determination to give heed to the words of wisdom do receive the added strength to overcome the world and to practice truth and virtue, so that we are better prepared to withstand the perils ahead. And also, that all good seeds of humans, of flora and fauna are preserved. These things I humbly as God, say and pray in the name of Jesus Christ

For Michael shall fight their battles, and shall overcome him who seeketh the throne of him who sitteth upon the throne, even the Lamb.

This is the glory of God, and the sanctified; and they shall not any more see death. Therefore, verily I say unto you, my friends, call your solemn assembly, as I have commanded you. And as all have not faith, seek ye diligently and teach one another words of wisdom; yea, seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom; seek learning, even by study and also by faith.

Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God; That your incomings may be in the name of the Lord; that your outgoings may be in the name of the Lord; that all your salutations may be in the name of the Lord, with uplifted hands unto the Most High.

Therefore, cease from all your light speeches, from all laughter, from all your lustful desires, from all your pride and light-mindedness, and from all your wicked doings. Appoint among yourselves a teacher, and let not all be spokesmen at once; but let one speak at a time and let all listen unto his sayings, that when all have spoken that all may be edified of all, and that every man may have an equal privilege. See that ye love one another; cease to be covetous; learn to impart one to another as the gospel requires.

Cease to be idle; cease to be unclean; cease to find fault one with another; cease to sleep longer than is needful; retire to thy bed early, that ye may not be weary; arise early, that your bodies and your minds may be invigorated. And above all things, clothe yourselves with the bond of charity, as with a mantle, which is the bond of perfectness and peace. Pray always, that ye may not faint, until I come. Behold, and lo, I will come quickly, and receive you unto myself. Amen.

Jesus told me, just the other day, that evil comes in the form of a religion with its minions espousing their beliefs, insisting that they should be listened to before He, ie God/Jesus/et al, is listened to in my own heart.

What God, Jesus, et al, tell me, may not be the same thing you and others hear. If you can't hear what I believe God to be, and how he speaks to me, how can you possibly tell me how to live, worship, or what to have faith in?

I am all ears. I want to know what you believe in. God is the same yesterday, today and forever and as he spoke to the ancient he speaks to us now. And despite most religions and sectaries, the true servants of God can be recognized by their fruits. I believe in all things if there is anything praise worthy and of good report and of what I know with certainty I profess. And I know that to know God is better than juts believing and to know about him. Even the devil knows him better than those that just believe in him. People are condemned for not believing and not for believing too much. It is a free country also and even if it were not, I allow any one to believe whatever they want whether it is the Living GOD; or a man; or the queen of heaven, or a horse, or a dog or a chicken; or even the Devil. I am not telling anyone what to believe either. But I preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ is a just thing and that all men can be saved though the atonement of Jesus Christ. In fact, sharing the truth it is a labor of love. And whatever I do, I do it for the honor and glory of God. I am not selling anything in exchange of monetary gain. Here are the articles of my faith to which I AM ESPOUSED

THE ARTICLES OF FITH OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS

1 WE believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.

2 We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression.

3 We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.

4 We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.

5 We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.

6 We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.

7 We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.

8 We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.

9 We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.

10 We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.

11 We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.

12 We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.

13 We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

JOSEPH SMITH.
